College Rules

As said by scholars and achievers that discipline is the key to success. Here in Master Tara Singh Memorial College for Women we also feel the same. Following are some rules which each and every student has to adhere:

• Any student found guilty of ragging would be suspended from the college.
• On every Monday and all academic functions, all students are required to be in college uniform viz white suit with white dupatta in summer, white suit with black cardigan in winter. Students not in proper uniform will be fined.
• As the college authorities issue identity card at the commencement of the session, every student is required to carry her respective identity card during her stay in college campus.
• Leave for absence from the college should be applied personally by a student on the prescribed form available in the college office. In case of illness the application should be supported by medical certificate. Absence from any lecture shall be fined. Absentees shall be reported daily and the name shall be stuck off after seven consecutive days of absence and student will have to seek re-admission.
• Students can change their subject within 15 days from the commencement of classes on the
• prescribed performa available from the office.
• A student who loses, defaces or damages college library books shall have to pay the full cost.
  Every student must attend 75% of lectures delivered both in theory and practicals. Otherwise she will be detained from appearing in the university examinations.
• No student will be allowed to leave the college before the 7th period without the permission of Principal/Tutor.
• Students caught bunking classes shall be fined Rs. 50/- on the spot.
• In case of change Address/Tel. No., students should inform the college office immediately.
• Use of mobile phones are strictly prohibited in college campus and shall be confiscated from students.
  Students are not allowed to bring any valuable article to the college campus.
• All rules and regulations prescribed by Panjab University, Chandigarh are applicable to the College students.
  Parents can visit Principal Office between 11 am to 1 pm during working days.
