MBACIT Commerce & Information Technology)

Affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh (An Interdisciplinary course in Commerce, Management and Information Technology)

MBACIT is a two-year full time programme, with an intake of 80 students. This course is spread over four semesters. During the first two semesters, core and foundation subjects are offered. These include Management Concepts and Approaches, Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Quantitative Techniques, Economics, Information Technology. Communication and Personal effectiveness. A weekly workshop is organised to support intellectual engagement and connectedness to the wider world. Women Graduates with Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Commerce, Science, Engineering or Technology with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from any University approved by UGC.

Those who are awaiting the results of their qualifying examination will also be eligible to apply, but the decision on admission to the programme will be subject to the production of mark sheets at the time of admission.

Pedagogical Tools

To enhance the creative content of the students', 'Activity Based Learning form a part of pedagogy. Innovative methods in teaching are adopted like case study, panel and group discussions, business games, role plays, seminars, brain storming and mock interviews.

Placement Cell 

The main endeavour of MTSM is to get students placed in government jobs, NGO's and the private sector. All students are entitled to placement assistance, career counselling and even self-employment. The cell acts as an interface between the industry and the students and primarily enables the students to select from different career options. It facilitates the selection process of all the companies as per their requirement.
