B.A. Bachelor of Arts
The duration of Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Programme shall be of six semesters
Eligibility
A student who has passed +2 examination or any other examination recognized by P.S.E.B. or equivalent there-to, can take admission in B.A. Part I. A candidate joining the B.A. Ist Semester should have obtained at least 33% marks in the aggregate of all subjects (including marks obtained by her in the subject of compartment, theory & practical taken together) taken up by her at the +2 examination. The candidates securing less than 20% marks (Theory + Practical + Internal Assessment) in the subject in which she has been placed in compartment in the +2 examination shall not be eligible to seek admission to the First Year of B.A.
Compulsory Subjects
- General English
- General Punjabi / History & Culture of Punjab
- Environmental & Road Safety Education and Violence against Women & Children
Elective Subjects
A student is required to select 3 elective subjects in all and shall not select more than one subject from any of the following sets of combination.
NOTE: If Panjab University implements NEP 2020 from session 2024-25 then regulations, admission
guidelines, course scheme/structure, syllabus will be followed accordingly in semester - I & semester - II.
