MFDM (Master in Fashion Designing and Management) (Affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh)
College is successfully running an innovative multi-disciplinary Post Graduate Course MFDM (Master in Fashion Designing and Management). It is a two-year full time programme, with an intake of 40 students and is spread over four semesters. In the realm of dynamic industry conditions, the objective of the two-year master programme is to impart conceptual knowledge of clothing and textiles, apparel specific marketing, designing and management to the students to empower them to be well-equipped professionals. The programme sharply focuses to develop managerial skills in the field of fashion marketing and retailing best suited to the requirements of the garment industry and fashion retail sector. Students will be able to learn innovative fashion management practices, fashion forecasting techniques and trends through field visits and industry internships.

Fashion in the global market is a big business. The fashion related industries play a very important role globally. Almost every country in the world depends on the textile and apparel sectors as important contributors to their economy. The clothing and textile sector has played an important role in the process of industrialization and had significantly contributed to exports also. Students taking Masters in Fashion Designing and Management (MFDM) will be able to polish and develop their talents, creativity and ability in making sound decisions as future managers, creative designers, fashion consultants and specialists. The course provides students with hands-on learning experiences and opportunities that will help them become result oriented professionals and experts in fashion industry.
Eligibility
Women Graduates with Bachelor's Degree in Arts, Commerce, Science, Engineering or Technology with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from any University approved by UGC.
Those who are awaiting the results of their qualifying examination will also be eligible to apply, but the decision on admission to the programme will be subject to presenting of mark sheets at the time of admission.
